Giving Lum her medication had been a struggle. I used to disguise it by wrapping it in a piece of chicken breast. Then, when her condition got worse and she had more medication to take, I put it in capsules. Eventually she became suspicious of the capsules, so I tried hiding them in tomatoes and bananas…
But Dose Me is slightly sweet, and it’s thick just enough not to drip or separate from the medicine. Powder medicines that didn’t completely melt before seem to dissolve and soak in. Plus, it’s safe because it doesn’t contain any harmful additives. In the past I got frustrated with Lum on busy mornings when she didn’t take her medicine, and she sensed my frustration, too. Whereas now I just say, “Time to lick,” and she’ll come right over. Dose Me is exactly what we had been waiting for!

Q. How should I store Dose Me?
A. Please store in a cool place. Although warm temperatures do not affect the quality of the product, the paste may turn a brownish color.
Q. Can I only use Dose Me with powdered medicines?
A. No. Pills can be crushed and mixed with the paste as well.
Q. Can I give Dose Me to puppies or cats?
A. Yes. Because it’s made with vegetable oil, cats usually like it, too.
Q. How is freshness preserved for as long as 18 months when it doesn’t contain any additives or preservatives?
A. The unique balance of sugars and water makes it difficult for bacteria to reproduce.
Q. How much should I give my pet at one time?
A. This would depend on your pet’s size and weight, and on the amount of medicine you give it, but try starting out with a teaspoonful.
Q. Can I feed Dose Me to a pet that has allergies?
A. Dose Me comes in a cheese flavor so that pets would like and eat it. To be on the safe side, do not feed it to a pet that might have an allergic reaction to dairy products.
Q. How much salt does the cheese contain?
A. Dose Me contains no salt.
The salt content of ordinary cheese on the market is 1-2%; that of Dose Me is 0%.
Q. What exactly is “flavoring”?
A. The flavoring in Dose Me is natural flavoring extracted from cheese.
Q. Will it get rid of the bitterness of the medicine?
A. The bitterness of medicine will be reduced but not eliminated. If your pet appears to detect the medicine, try increasing the amount of Dose Me in the mixture.
